TI Sitara AM62 System on Module

Variscite’s AM62 and AM62P System on Modules are powered by Texas Instruments’ Sitara AM625 and AM62P5 processors and deliver multimedia capabilities for industrial and edge computing applications. 

The VAR-SOM-AM62 offers up to quad 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 cores with 400MHz Cortex-M4F and 333MHz PRU real-time co-processors and provides robust connectivity, including dual GbE, multiple CAN/CAN-FD interfaces, and certified Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth/BLE support. The VAR-SOM-AM62P enhances this foundation with an 800MHz Cortex-R5F co-processor and advanced multimedia capabilities, featuring H.264/H.265 video encoding/decoding, 3D GPU acceleration, and triple display support for demanding visual applications. 

Both SoMs are pin-compatible within the VAR-SOM Pin2Pin family, letting customers scale performance and features without redesigning the carrier board and maintain the right cost-performance balance throughout the product’s lifetime and for each application requirements.
